The present invention relates to the field of outdoor articles, and in particular to an outdoor folding tent having a side top structure, comprising at least three supporting legs and a plurality of outer side folding telescopic units. The outer side folding telescopic units are mounted between the upper ends of the adjacent supporting legs in a matched manner; each outer side folding telescopic unit comprises a plurality of X-shaped cross rod groups which are hinged in sequence; each X-shaped cross rod group comprises two first connecting rods; at least one of the outer side folding telescopic units comprises an even number of X-shaped cross rod groups; and the lengths of the two first connecting rods in each X-shaped cross rod group are different, such that the outer side folding telescopic unit forms an inverted V-shaped side top structure. In the present invention, the side top structure is provided; the side top structure can make the height of a door curtain higher, thereby facilitating entering and exiting; and a slope can be formed, thereby facilitating drainage.
