Abstract:
Provided are: ion plating tablets by which a transparent conductive film suitable for solar cells can be rapidly deposited, and deposition can be continued without causing cracks, fissures or splashes; and an oxide sintered body for obtaining the tablets. The oxide sintered body has indium oxide as the main component thereof and comprises tungsten as an additional element, the content of tungsten being 0.001-0.15 at W/(In+W) atomic ratio, and is characterized by being composed mainly of crystal grains (A) comprising an indium oxide phase of a bixbyite type structure in which tungsten is not dissolved and crystal grains (B) comprising an indium oxide phase of a bixbyite type structure in which tungsten is dissolved, and having a density of 3.4-5.5 g/cm3.
