Abstract:
Provided is a catalyst which can be used for enabling a reductive amination reaction under a low-temperature low-hydrogen-pressure condition, comprises cobalt supported on an oxide, and is characterized by being produced by a method including the following steps (1) to (4): (1) a step of mixing a salt containing a cobalt ion with an oxide in water; (2) a step of distilling water away from a mixed solution obtained in step (1) to produce a solid material, and drying the solid material to produce a dried material; (3) a step of firing the dried material obtained in step (2) under a nitrogen gas stream to produce a fired product; and (4) a step of reducing the fired product obtained in step (3) under a hydrogen gas stream.
