Abstract:
A flexible gusset package (1), a package blank (2) and a wicked bag (3) are provided. The package (1) comprises a front surface (14), a rear surface(15), a first surface (10), a second surface, an opposing pair of third and fourth surfaces (12, 13), a pair of side gussets (12b, 13b) and a pair of closing gussets (11b); The surfaces(10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15) cooperatively define an interior compartment of the package (1), wherein the package (1) comprises a laminate (32) comprising a film layer (34) and a paper layer (36), the film layer (34) facing the interior compartment, and wherein the second surface (11) comprises an area essentially consisting of the film layer (34) where the closing seam (11a) is formed. The package conveys consumer-desirable perceptual features such as softness, smoothness and other tactile impression, and creates a visually aesthetic appeal.
