Abstract:
Provided are PAN-based carbon fibers, a preparation method therefor, and carbon fibers made therefrom. The method for preparing the PAN-based carbon fibers comprises firstly impregnating PAN protofilaments with a nitrogen- and/or phosphorus-containing compound, then successively subjecting same to a pre-cyclization treatment under an inert atmosphere and to an oxidation treatment under an oxygen-containing atmosphere, such that the PAN protofilaments are rapidly formed into pre-oxidized fibers having a uniform trapezoidal heat-resistant structure, and then finally subjecting same to a carbonization treatment, so as to obtain the PAN-based carbon fibers. The present preparation method is particularly suitable for the PAN protofilaments with tow specifications of 24k and more, and can not only shorten the pre-oxidation reaction time, but can also achieve the ideal degree of pre-oxidation reaction. In general, in the present invention, the total reaction time of pre-cyclization and oxidation treatments can be controlled within 30 min, the production energy consumption is reduced, and the carbon fiber production efficiency can be improved.
