Abstract:
The present invention suppresses paper medium feeding failures that occur when a paper feeding tray is attached/detached to/from a housing. A paper feeding unit 3 includes: a second paper feeding tray 61 which can accommodate a wound body P2a, which is a medium P2 wound in a roll shape, such that the wound body is rotatable; a housing 60 which supports the second paper feeding tray 61 such that the second paper feeding tray is attachable/detachable; and a return feed mechanism 70. The return feed mechanism 70 feeds the medium P2 which has been unwound from the wound body P2a towards the wound body P2a in tandem with the operation in which the second paper feeding tray 61 is moved forward to detach the second paper feeding tray 61 from the housing 60.
