Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing paper which is effectively suppressed in strike through during printing, while having excellent strength. The present invention provides paper filled with light calcium carbonate wherein primary particles aggregate to form secondary particles. The primary particles of the light calcium carbonate have a spherical shape having an aspect ratio of 2.5 or less; and the secondary particles of the light calcium carbonate have a BET specific surface area of from 15 to 40 m2/g and an average particle diameter of from 3.0 μm to 15.0 μm.
