Abstract:
[Problem] To make simple the structure of a paper holder device which is configured so that the forwarding of paper from a paper roll and the cutting of the paper are automatically performed by an electrical means, and to reduce the cost of the paper holder device. [Solution] A paper holder device comprises a paper support mechanism (5), a paper forwarding mechanism (6), a paper receiving section (3), and a paper cutting mechanism (7) for cutting paper (10a). The paper holder device is configured so that the paper forwarding mechanism (6) and the paper cutting mechanism (7) are selectively driven by a single drive gear mechanism (9). The paper holder device has a reduced number of motors installed therein, and as a result, the paper holder device is compact in shape and low cost in comparison to conventional paper holder devices provided with, for example, a two-motor type drive mechanism, and also as a result, the paper holder device of the present invention has a drive mechanism which is simpler than that of the conventional paper holder devices.
