Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a passenger conveyor wherein the efficiency of work of replacing a component can be improved. A passenger conveyor is provided with: a plurality of endlessly connected steps; balustrades provided on both sides of the steps in the width direction thereof; moving handrails moving on the balustrades; and a pair of drive sprockets (3a, 3b) for driving the steps. The passenger conveyor is further provided with: an electric motor unit (11) having an electric motor rotation section (15) rotatably supported by an electric motor bearing (16); a brake disc unit (12) having a brake disc (17) rotatably supported by a brake bearing (19); and a drive sprocket unit (10) comprising, as a unit, a drive sprocket shaft (13) and the drive sprockets (3a, 3b). The electric motor unit (11), the brake disc unit (12), and the drive sprocket unit (10) are coaxially arranged, and the electric motor unit (11) and the brake disc unit (12) are separably connected by the drive sprocket unit (10).
