Abstract:
Provided are a perfluoropolymer that allows production of an electrolyte membrane having excellent electrical conductivity and mechanical strength under high-temperature environment, and a liquid composition, a solid polymer electrolyte membrane, a membrane electrode joint body, and a solid polymer fuel cell obtained by using the perfluoropolymer. A perfluoropolymer according to the present invention contains a perfluoromonomer unit, contains substantially no unit having a halogen atom other than a fluorine atom, contains substantially no unit having a ring structure, and has an acid-type sulfonate group. The perfluoromonomer unit includes at least one unit A selected from the group consisting of perfluoro vinyl ether units and perfluoro allyl ether units, wherein: the ion exchange capacity is 1.4-2.5 mm equivalent/gram dry resin; and the storage elastic modulus at 120°C is greater than or equal to 60MPa.
