Abstract:
Disclosed are a permeable reactive wall and a restoration method. The present invention belongs to the technical field of the restoration of contaminated soil and underground water. The permeable reactive wall comprises a pre-reaction zone, a main reaction zone, and an effluent buffer zone, which are arranged in sequence in a water flow direction, wherein the pre-reaction zone and the effluent buffer zone are both filled with a filler and zerovalent iron; the main reaction zone is filled with zerovalent iron and an adsorbent; and the main reaction zone is provided with a monitoring hole, or the pre-reaction zone, the main reaction zone and the effluent buffer zone are all provided with a monitoring hole, for sampling and monitoring whether passivation and blockage occur and for adding a depassivation agent. In the present invention, after a reaction runs for a period of time, due to passivation of the zerovalent iron and the adsorbent, clogging, and activity reduction, a regeneration, activation and depassivation agent, such as hydrogen peroxide or an organic or inorganic acid salt, e.g. sodium oxalate or potassium chloride, is added to react with metal oxides and hydroxide precipitates on the surface of the zerovalent iron for depassivation, thereby increasing the specific surface area of the material, reducing the pH, and improving the restoration efficiency.
