Abstract:
The present invention has a first period for detecting a to-be-detected body in contact with or adjacent to a sensor unit and a second period for detecting protrusions and recesses on the surface of the to-be-detected body. As input keys for passwords, a plurality of first regions are provided in a detection region of the sensor unit. Every time there is a key input for a password, a touch detection coordinate in one of the first regions detected in the first period is used as a center coordinate of a second region, and divided regions relatively different from each other are assigned in the second region. A plurality of divided images acquired in the divided regions in the second period are combined every time there is a key input for the password and a fingerprint image is generated.
