Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a petroleum purification waste-processing apparatus (10) and method capable of processing alkaline waste liquid (AW) and oil sludge (OS) comprised in waste discharged from a petroleum purification device (12) at lower cost than in the past and of reducing the amount ultimately discarded. One processing apparatus comprises: an oil extraction device (14), which is connected to the petroleum purification device and is for separating oil sludge into oil (OI) and sludge (SL); a combustion furnace (16), which is connected to the petroleum purification device and the oil extraction device and is for burning the oil from the oil extraction device and oxidatively decomposing alkaline waste liquid from the petroleum purification device; and a gasification melting furnace (20), which is connected to the oil extraction device and is for thermolyzing sludge from the oil extraction device into gas (CG) and melted solids (MS) and discharging said gas and melted solids.
