Abstract:
This invention relates to phosphorus-containing prodrugs of gemcitabine and their use in the treatment of cancer and viral infectious diseases. Compared with the parent drug (i.e., Gemcitabine), the prodrugs of present invention show a significant overall safety improvement (therapeutic index (TI) improvement), especially in liver.
