Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a photocurable ink composition for ink-jet printing which has curability on and adhesiveness to objects to be printed that have surfaces constituted of paper or of sheets of, for example, polyesters, vinyl-based polymers such as poly(vinyl chloride) and ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymers, and which has storage stability and gives cured coating films having low odorousness, low tackiness, abrasion resistance, high resistance to water, high resistance to ethanol, stretchability, and excellent folding endurance. This photocurable ink composition for ink-jet printing comprises vinylmethyloxazolidinone and a monofunctional photopolymerizable monomer having a glass transition temperature of 10°C or lower in amounts of 5-50 mass% and 10-50 mass%, respectively, with respect to the whole ink composition and further includes a colorant and a photopolymerization initiator.
