Abstract:
Disclosed is a binuclear ruthenium complex dye which has a higher absorption coefficient and exhibits light absorbing power even in a longer wavelength region and which makes it possible to provide a photoelectric conversion element and a photochemical cell that can perform the conversion of sunlight into electricity over a wide wavelength region and with high photoelectric conversion efficiency. Also disclosed is a binuclear ruthenium complex dye which makes it possible to provide a photoelectric conversion element and a photochemical cell that exhibit high durability.
