Abstract:
The invention belongs to the technical field of photoresponse materials, in particular to a photoresponse tri-stable chiral molecular material and a preparation method and a use thereof. The chiral molecule provided by the present invention has two azobenzene structural units with different photoresponsive properties. Under the driving of three wavelengths of light, three different stable configurations can be formed. The chiral molecule of the present invention has tri-stable properties in both solution and liquid crystal, and can reversibly change under the driving of three wavelengths of light. The chiral molecule of the present invention is dissolved in a liquid crystal and then poured into a parallel-oriented liquid crystal cell, and by using the tri-stable property of the chiral molecule, a segmented control of the reflected light wave band of the liquid crystal cell can be realized, overcoming the limitations of the original singularity control of the wave band of bistable chiral molecules. The present invention can be applied to many fields such as display, sensors, and anti-counterfeiting.
