Abstract:
This pin terminal comprises a rod-like base material and a plating layer that covers a predetermined region of the base material, wherein: a constituent material of the base material is pure copper or a copper alloy; the plating layer comprises a tin-based layer composed of a tin-containing metal; one end side of the base material comprises a front-end cover part, and the other end side of the base material comprises a rear-end cover part and an exposure region at different peripheral positions of the base material; the tin-based layer includes the front-end cover part and the rear-end cover part; the front-end cover part covers the entire peripheral region on the one end side of the base material; the rear-end cover part covers a portion of a peripheral region on the other end side of the base material; and in the exposure region, the plating layer is not provided and the base material is exposed.
