As pitch enhancement processing, this pitch enhancement device obtains, for each time in a time interval in which a signal is determined to be a consonant, an output signal which includes a signal obtained by adding: signals obtained by multiplying signals for times further in the past than the time, for the number of samples T0
corresponding to the pitch cycle of said time interval, pitch gain σ0 for the time interval, a predetermined constant B0, and a value greater than 0 but less than 1; to a signal for said time.
