Abstract:
A planographic printing method according to the present invention includes: a preparation step in which a planographic printing original plate is prepared that has, on a support, an image recording layer removable by printing ink, dampening water, or both, and that has a contact angle with water of at least 60°, as determined by a water-in-oil droplet, at the surface of the outermost layer of the image recording layer side thereof; a mounting step in which the planographic printing original plate is exposed in an image-like manner and mounted on a plate cylinder of a printer; a development step in which development is performed by providing printing ink and dampening water to the post-exposure planographic printing original plate and transferring a non-image part of the image recording layer to a watering roller; a printing step in which a planographic printing plate obtained by being developed is used to perform printing; and a removal step in which a component of the non-image part of the image recording layer that is adhered on the watering roller is removed.
