Abstract:
Provided are a plant disease control method and disease control apparatus that can, by radiating an appropriate amount of near infrared light onto a plant being cultivated, obtain a disease control effect while using light energy efficiently. The disease control effect can be obtained by irradiating the plant being cultivated with near infrared light comprising a wavelength that is set within the 800-1000 nm wavelength region, such that if irradiance (W/m2) is represented by X and irradiation time (seconds) is represented by Y, expressions 1, 2, and 3 are all fulfilled.
