Abstract:
A plastic wavelength conversion fiber according to one mode of the present invention comprises a core (11) containing a fluorescent agent having a peak of a fluorescence spectrum in the wavelength range of 430-550 nm, and cladding (12) that coats an outer circumferential surface of the core (11) and that has a lower refractive index than the core (11). The number of carbonyl bonds in the fluorescent agent is one or less.
