Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic radial tire which is provided with a belt cover layer comprising an organic fibrous cord, and which is capable of achieving both of high road noise performance based on instrument measurement and high road noise performance based on sensory measurement. A plurality of belt layers 7, which are arranged on the outer peripheral side of a carcass layer 4 on a tread part 1, is configured from an N+M structure steel cord 7C in which the number N of element wires in an inner layer is 2-4 and the number M of element wires in an outer layer is 2-7, and the twisted directions of the inner layer and the outer layer are different. The steel cord 7C are arranged inclining in the tire circumferential direction so as to cross each other between the belt layers 7, a belt cover layer 8 arranged on the outer peripheral side of the belt layer 7 is configured from an organic fibrous cord that has an elongation of 2.0-4.0% under the load of 2.0 cN/dtex, and the organic fibrous cord is spirally wound in the tire circumferential direction.
