Abstract:
In the present invention, a tire air pressure detection system includes: multiple transmission devices for transmitting a request signal for requesting air pressure information for a vehicle tire; a detection device for detecting the air pressure of the tire in response to the request signal and transmitting a response signal including the air pressure information; and an acquisition device for receiving the response signal and acquiring the air pressure information. In the event of an abnormality wherein one transmission device transmits the request signal to the detection device but no response signal in response to the request signal from the one transmission device is received by the acquisition device, another transmission device transmits a high-output request signal having a higher output level than that of the request signal transmitted by the one transmission device.
