Abstract:
The present invention provides a polarization film capable of suppressing sufficiently the outward permeation of iodine contained in a polarizer under a high-temperature and high-humidity environment. This polarization film comprises a polarizer containing iodine, and a resin layer containing a polymer having a structure unit derived from a (meth)acrylic acid ester. In the polarization film, the value of y1 as calculated from formula (1) is less than 1.3. (1): y1 = (0.279) x1 + (-1.51) x2 + (0.178) x3 + 0.386 In formula (1), x1 represents the number of rotatable bonds contained in a monomer for forming the polymer, x2 represents the number of reactive sites contained in the monomer, and x3 represents a polar term δP (MPa1/2) in the Hansen solubility parameters for the monomer.
