Abstract:
Provided by the present invention is a polycyclic aromatic compound represented by formula (1), or a polymer thereof. The compound according to the present invention can be used in an organic device such as an organic EL element. (In formula (1), rings A, B and C are optionally substituted aryl rings or heteroaryl rings, at least one ring selected from the group consisting of ring A, ring B, and ring C is a condensed ring formed from two or more rings selected from the group consisting of an aryl ring, a heteroaryl ring, and a cyclopentadiene ring, Y1 is B or the like, X1 and X2 are >N-R (R being an aryl or the like), rings A, B, C, etc. can be condensed by a cycloalkane or the like, and the hydrogen in formula (1) can be substituted by deuterium, cyano or halogen.)
