Abstract:
An oriented polyimide film having high strength and a process for producing the film. The process basically comprises stretching a gel-state film and then imidizing the polymer. The gel-state film is formed by incorporating a polyamic acid solution into a solution of a condensation agent. Prior to the stretching, the gel-state film is swollen with a solvent.
