Abstract:
Provided are a polymer composition having excellent curability and safety, a gel having high mechanical strength and applicable to a wide range of uses, a film, and particles. The polymer composition contains: a water-soluble polymer having a crosslinkable group; and polymer particles having a glass transition temperature of 40ºC or lower. The crosslinkable group is preferably a vinyl group, a (meth)acryloyloxy group, a (meth)acryloylamino group, a vinylphenyl group, a norbornenyl group, or a derivative of any of these. It is further preferable that the introduction rate of the crosslinkable group is 0.01-10 mol% relative to the repeating units of the water-soluble polymer having the crosslinkable group.
