Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a copper catalyst which has higher catalytic activity than conventional copper catalysts, is able to be easily recovered, and can be reused repeatedly. The present invention relates to a polymer-supported copper catalyst which is characterized in that monovalent or divalent copper is supported in a polymer that is obtained by polymerizing monomers that include at least an amphiphilic vinyl monomer (A) and a vinyl monomer (B) having a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group. Since the copper catalyst of the present invention is an insoluble solid, the copper catalyst can be easily recovered after use and copper is not included in a product that is obtained using the catalyst. In addition, the copper catalyst of the present invention is capable of maintaining high catalytic activity even if repeatedly used.
