Abstract:
Provided is a porous membrane that can be manufactured in steps which are not complicated, that is highly hydrophilic and highly water permeable, and that exhibits excellent anti-fouling properties when used in the membrane bioreactor method (MBR method). The porous membrane includes a polymer (A) and a polymer (B), wherein polymer (A) is a membrane-forming polymer and polymer (B) has a unit (b1) represented by formula (1) and a unit (b2) based on hydroxyl group-containing (meth)acrylate. In the porous membrane, the concentration (mass%) of unit (b1) is at least the concentration (mass%) of unit (b2).
