Abstract:
Provided are porous zirconia particles having high specificity for immobilizing a specific protein. The porous zirconia particles are used for immobilizing protein. In a pore size distribution measured by a BET method, the fine pore diameter D50 at which the cumulative fine-pore volume becomes equal to 50% of the total fine-pore volume is 3.20-6.50 nm, and the fine pore diameter D90 at which the cumulative fine-pore volume becomes equal to 90% of the total fine-pore volume is 10.50-100.00 nm. The total fine-pore volume is more than 0.10 cm3/g.
