Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a portable polishing machine which enables the gripping of the surroundings of a battery from a side at which a housing is not present, and is provided with a means for protecting the battery from an unexpected contact or the like. [Solution] A sander 1, as an example of this portable polishing machine, is provided with: a main body part 18 having a motor 20; a battery 14 which is attached to the main body part 18 while some (front surface, left-side surface, right-side surface and top surface) of outer surfaces are exposed surfaces, and which serves as a power supply for the motor 20; a first grip part 8 which is provided in an upper portion of the main body part 18 and which can be gripped; and a handle 16 which is disposed surrounding a portion of or the entirety of the exposed surface of the battery 14 and which can be gripped.
