Abstract:
A position estimating system (50) comprises a bucket angle sensor (66) and a controller (54). A first work machine (25) has an arm (11), a bucket (13), and a bucket cylinder (21) for driving the bucket (13), and is capable of oscillating relative to a vehicle body (2). An extension arm (12) has a link mechanism (32) for transmitting the driving force of the bucket cylinder (21) to the bucket (13), and can be attached between the arm (11) and the bucket (13). The bucket angle sensor (66) can be disposed on the link mechanism (32). The controller (54) estimates the position of an edge (13p) of the bucket (13) on the basis of shape data of the first work machine (25), shape data of the extension arm (12), information pertaining to the posture of the first work machine (25), and a value detected by the bucket angle sensor (66).
