Abstract:
A positive electrode active material for all-solid-state lithium ion batteries, which is composed of particles that contain a crystal of a lithium metal composite oxide, and which is configured such that: the lithium metal composite oxide has a lamellar structure and contains at least Li and a transition metal; the particles satisfy the relational expression (D90 – D10)/D50 ≥ 0.90 with respect to D10, D50 and D90, which are obtained from the volume-based cumulative particle size distribution as determined by laser diffraction particle size distribution measurement; and with respect to the crystal, the ratio of the crystallite size α at the peak within the range of 2θ = 18.7 ± 2° to the crystallite size β at the peak within the range of 2θ = 44.6 ± 2°, namely α/β is 1.0 or more in X-ray diffractometry using a CuKα ray.
