Abstract:
This posture control device has: a support member comprising a pressure-receiving surface pressed by the body of a user; a plurality of posture control members that change an uneven state of the pressure-receiving surface; a sensor that, when the posture control members are pressed by the body via the pressure-receiving surface, outputs resistance values that continuously change in response to the pressing forces transmitted via the posture control members; a drive means that independently drives each of the posture control members; and a control means that identifies the pressed posture control members on the basis of the sensor output, controls the drive means, deforms or moves the pressed posture control members, thereby altering the uneven state of the pressure-receiving surface.
