Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a powdery liquid-crystal resin with which it is possible to produce a press-molded article having a high mechanical strength; a press-molded article using same; and a production method therefor. [Solution] This powdery liquid-crystal resin for a press-molded article has a bulk density more than 0.05 g/cm3 but not more than 0.5 g/m3. It is preferable for the powdery liquid-crystal resin to have a particle size distribution width of 3.0-12 as defined by JIS Z8825:2013. The powdery liquid-crystal resin preferably has an average particle size of 10-300 μm. It is also preferable for the powdery liquid-crystal resin to have a crystallinity degree of 20-70%.
