Abstract:
Provided is a method of designing an MMIC power amplifier which enables: more accurate determination of stability of an MMIC power amplifier in which various oscillation phenomena occur; and enhancement of the stability. A stability determination method according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: calculating, by a computing system, output impedance and input impedance in an intermediate node between amplifiers constituting a designed power amplifier; calculating an oscillation parameter by using the calculated impedance and input impedance by the computing system; and determining stability of the power amplifier by using the calculated oscillation parameter by a computing device. Accordingly, stability of an MMIC power amplifier in which various oscillation phenomena occur can be more accurately determined.
