Abstract:
Provided are a power control device and a power control method that can assist the work of lifting packages while seated. An assist chair 10 that assists the raising and lowering of loads while a worker is in a seated state comprises: a seat 30 that the worker sits upon; a base 20 that supports the seat 30; a support member 40 that is attached to either the base 20 or the seat 30 and extends upwards from the base 20 or the seat 30; linear members 60 having the feeding out or winding in thereof guided by at least part of the support member 40; a housing member 51 that houses the linear members 60; tip members 70 that are attached to the tips of linear members 60 and are worn or held by the worker; a drive means 80 that provides driving force to house the linear members 60 in the housing member 51 or feed out the linear members 60 from the housing member 51; and a control means 90 that controls the drive of the drive means 80.
