Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to improve the reliability of elements in a power conversion device and a motor device. Therefore, the power conversion device is provided with a reverse converter and a control unit. The reverse converter has a plurality of upper arms and lower arms equipped with wide band-gap semiconductor switching elements. When an overcurrent flows through the reverse converter, the control unit turns off a first arm that is one of the upper and lower arms and disposed on the path of the overcurrent, and, after turning on a second arm paired with the first arm (period 1 → period 2), turns off the second arm in accordance with the current flowing through the second arm (period 2 → period 3).
