Abstract:
[Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to provide a power conversion device making it possible to extract considerable power from a solar cell even during low solar radiation. [Solution] A power conversion device provided with a step-up circuit (4) for stepping up an output voltage of a solar cell (1) and an inverter circuit (5) for converting the direct current power stepped up by the step-up circuit (4) to an alternating current power and superimposing the alternating current power onto a commercial power system (3) is characterized in that the step-up circuit (4) runs a first step-up operation so that the output voltage of the solar cell (1) reaches a target voltage value (Vm), and alters the target voltage value (Vm) every time a predetermined period of time (Th) has elapsed since the start of the first step-up operation.
