Abstract:
The present invention protects a semiconductor switch by limiting current that fluctuates because of load fluctuation. A protection circuit 14, which is provided with: a switch circuit 19 that becomes conductive when a conductive voltage having a prescribed magnitude is applied; and a sub-reactance circuit 30 having a prescribed reactance value, is connected in parallel to a main reactance circuit 13 through which a high-frequency current flows by the semiconductor switch. When the switch circuit 19 becomes conductive, the main reactance circuit 13 and the sub-reactance circuit 30 are connected in parallel, and the high-frequency current flows through the resulting parallel-connection circuit. The semiconductor switch is protected since impedance value of the parallel-connection circuit is set greater than that of the main reactance circuit 13 and the current is limited when the switch circuit 19 becomes conductive.
