Abstract:

[Problem] An objective of the present invention is to provide a power source device which despite having an extremely simple configuration is able to operate in the vicinity of the maximum efficiency point of a solar module without using a voltage regulator circuit, etc., achieve a technique for searching for and tracking the solar module maximum power point in a manner that results in less reduction of generated power than in conventionally used hill-climbing techniques, and avoid declines in efficiency. [Solution] Provided is a power source device which, with a power combining device, combines power generated by a solar module with power from another power source device and transmits the combined power to a load side, said power source device characterized in that by altering the groupings of the multiple solar cells constituting the solar module, the output voltage of the solar cell can be varied so that the output voltage of the solar module is matched to the output voltage of the other power source device, thus enabling utilization of the solar module at maximum efficiency.
