Abstract:
A power steering device generating an auxiliary steering force corresponding to steering torque through a motor (6). The power steering system comprises a torque sensor (3) for detecting steering torque, phase compensating means (15a, 15b) acting when a control target value of the motor (6) is generated from an output of the torque sensor (3), and a means (15c) for differentiating characteristics of the phase compensating means between when steering is performed during travel of a vehicle and when steering is performed when the vehicle is stationary. Even if vibration is suppressed by means of a phase compensator during stationary steering, unsettled steering feeling caused by a phase lag does not occur during.
