A power supply circuit for a radiation detector that applies a bias voltage to a radiation detector is provided with a buffer capacitor connected in parallel to the output of a high-voltage power supply and stores electric charge, and a voltage regulator circuit that inputs power from the buffer capacitor, converts the power to the specified voltage, adjusts and holds the voltage, and outputs the power of the specified voltage to a refresh control circuit that refreshes the radiation detector at the specified period. When turned on again after a refresh control circuit turned off the application of the bias voltage of the voltage regulator circuit to the radiation detector, the voltage regulator circuit uses the charge stored by the buffer capacitor in the voltage restoration period to charge the radiation detector. The buffer capacitor is restored to the specified voltage in the voltage restoration period and charged.
