This power supply device is provided with a circuit operation diagnosis function and is capable of identifying a circuit component that is the cause of an abnormality when an abnormality is discovered during diagnosis. The problem addressed by the present invention is solved by a power transmission device characterized by the provision of: a switch that is arranged in a power supply path leading from a main power source to a load and that causes the power supply path to conduct or be cut off; a downstream detection means for detecting the power supply state of a load-side power supply path that is the power supply path further to the load side than the switch; a comparison means for comparing a predetermined threshold voltage with a downstream voltage that is the voltage of the load-side power supply path; and a control unit into which the output of the downstream detection means and the comparison means are input, wherein said control unit is provided with a switch control means for controlling on/off operation of the switch and a conduction determination means for determining the on/off state of the switch on the basis of the output of the downstream detection means.
