Abstract:
Provided is a power source system (100) having: a first system (ES1) which supplies power from a first power source (10, 12) to an electrical load (34, 36) via a first electrical path (LA1); a second system (ES2) which supplies power from a second power source (16) to an electrical load via a second electrical path (LA2); and an intersystem switch (SW1) provided to a connection path (LB). The first power source outputs a power source voltage. The second power source includes an accumulator cell (16) and comprises: a charging unit (26) to which a first path (LC1) and a second path (LC2) are provided in parallel between the second power source and a connection point (PB) with the connection path on the second electrical path, which is provided to the first path, and which charges the accumulator cell to a voltage that is higher than the power source voltage when the intersystem switch is closed; and a discharge restriction unit (24) which is provided to the second path and restricts discharge of the accumulator cell. The second power source determines that a malfunction has occurred in the discharge restriction unit, and controls use of the second power source upon determining that a malfunction has occurred.
