Abstract:
A power transmission for vehicles which reduces relatively sudden variation of the output shaft torque of a power transmission caused when the output rotational speed of an electric differential unit varies. When the output rotational speed N18 of the differential unit (11) varies, the deviation value e of the actual rotational speed NE of the engine (8) from the target rotational speed NELINE is calculated at a predetermined time. The target rotational speed NELINE is set so that the deviation value e may converge with a predetermined slope. Therefore, in controlling the engine rotational speed by means of, e.g., an electric motor (M1), the variation of the output shaft rotational speed of the differential unit (11) can be preferably reduced. Hence, the power transmission (10) enables reduction of relatively sudden variation of the output shaft torque caused when the output rotational speed of the differential unit (11) varies.
