Abstract:
Provided is a prediction device (1) comprising: a regime updating unit (12) that applies a regime θ as a candidate to an event stream in a latest current window Xc and performs optimization processing for adjusting a parameter M of a model of the applied regime and decreasing the difference from an event; a prediction unit (14) that uses the model optimized by the regime updating unit (12) so as to predict future event information; and a storage unit (103) that stores transition information showing transition history between regimes. The regime updating unit (12) determines whether or not the regime θ being applied satisfies a transition condition, and when affirmative determination is made, the regime is transitioned from θ1 to θ2 using the transition information to the regime being applied stored in the storage unit (103). This introduces the transition information between the regimes and enables prediction processing with higher responsibility, applicability, and accuracy.
