The present invention relates to a prefabricated coffin and a method of assembling the same, and the objective of the present invention is to enable a quick and simple assembly without tools, such as a hammer and a nail, and to assure binding stability. A prefabricated coffin according to the present invention comprises: a main body having a plurality of side plates and a bottom plate for forming a space for enshrining a corpse; and a fixation part for combining any one of the side plates and the bottom plate with another plate adjacent to the any one plate, wherein the any one plate has an insertion hole into which the fixation part is inserted, and the another plate has an insertion groove, into which the fixation part is inserted to be combined, at a position corresponding to the position of the insertion hole, and wherein the fixation part is inserted into the insertion hole and the insertion groove in a pressurizing manner, and the fixation part has an insertion lock part which is locked and fixed on the inner surfaces of the side plates or the bottom plate so as to be inclined and spaced apart from each other at a predetermined interval in the longitudinal direction, the fixation part being made of an elastic material.
