Abstract:
Provided is a press brake that improves bending precision when using the partial bending method. The press brake comprises: a transport mechanism that intermittently transports workpieces; a die; a punch; a crowning mechanism; a bending amount measurement instrument; and a control device. The control device uses the punch and presses an end section, in the transport direction, of the workpiece, transports the end, using the transport mechanism, until the end enters a measurement range determined by the bending amount measurement instrument, and drives the crowning mechanism to correct the crowning amount in accordance with the difference between a central bending amount and an end bending amount as measured by the bending amount measurement instrument.
